Razorback Now for 1995 Browsing!

Razorback gets a bit of a facelift in the form of a darker layout and the ability to have at least some of its presentation elements rendered in older browsers dependent on HTML3 or anything to that degree! HTML4/CSS features are still intact, of course, but now this site may look alright on browsers from 1995 and 1996. The only real issue I have here is the left sidebar; I did specify a decent width for the cell, but it doesn't seem to be having much effect. I suppose there's no way around that, really.

This updated version of the website has been tested rather quickly in Internet Explorer 1, 2, 3, 5.5, and Netscape Navigator 3.0. As you go back to earlier browsers, you're bound to run into more rendering issues, but hopefully it still looks a lot better than it did before given such browsers do not even know how to consult an external style sheet.

Managing a static HTML website is enough of a challenge, but to also now have the burdens of paying attention to font tags and other things which are handled inconsistently between Internet Explorer and Netscape is really going to make it difficult to attentively delivery consistency across all web pages as the site grows. But, you know... anything to get something to work on an older browser!

I've received a ton of screenshots from others on my Discord server visiting my website on their old computers. I'm really glad it has been fulfilling its purpose of giving new life to old web browsers. Just remember it's not going to stop there; we've got a lot of work to do, so many more fronts we need to start covering. Onward to RSS!
