No More Fish Plush Videos

People ask me all the time, "when are you making another bass video?" All this time, I've never been able to find any good ideas I can really run with. The last video from December 2017, being a sort of prequel involving a shark installing Red Hat Linux, was regrettable. I felt a sense of anti-accomplishment by the time I uploaded it, because I found it to be too much of the same as the first video. Sure, the software being used was considerably different, but the foundation never advanced, and it simply could not advance even if it tried.

If I continued on the path of constantly making more videos of fish plushes at computers, I'd probably be an absolute giant of a retro tech channel by now, and this is easily proven by the disproprtionate amount of views a mere commentary of the first video got compared to any of my other recent works. But here's the thing... it would get annoying and stale quickly, and was already showing signs of that in the last video. Long before I gained any real traction, I absolutely HATED all these quantitative gaming channels with obnoxious thumbnails that were out there. The last thing I would want to do is fall into the same trap they did.

I've said this before, but I want to make it more clear now: I've decided to give up on the idea of making anymore fish plush videos forever. It would be better for me to preserve the integrity of the few that were made as little relics of a different time. A fish whacking a keyboard should be something that could make anyone laugh for a while, but ultimately serve as a gateway into many other ideas that I'm constantly wanting to roll out.

Now that I am certain that I don't want to bother with making another fish plush video anymore, I've sold off every last plush I ever used in my past videos some months ago. From this point onward, I'll have much more creative freedom and the ability to demonstrate such obscure niches of old hardware to much greater depth than a fish plush video would allow, and my mind will be freed from the pressure to make such a thing that's so frequently requested. This is sure to initially give many people a shock followed by colossal disappointment, but at some point you've just gotta move on. I know that once you do, you'll be able to create something much greater.

That is all I have to say for now.
