It's been three years since I got started with meddling in the idea in creating a solution that could save me so much time in getting an old version of Windows fully installed... crazy to think how far this has come. I hope these painstaking efforts have been worth it to help you reclaim your own time for actually getting to the part where you get to use the software you want to use.

To reiterate, Windows 95D Lite is a remaster of Windows 95 OSR2 that focuses solely on integrating many new drivers and updates to accommodate a wide range of hardware and software. These things are loaded right out the gate, saving you the trouble of swapping through countless storage media. It has drivers for the 3dfx Voodoo series, a number of popular network cards, generic USB mass storage devices, and a selection of later sound cards, to name a few.

It's clear that there's not much left to do in the way of adding more to Windows 95; this is about as good as it's gonna get. Later on, I hope to get a new, more refined alpha release of Redtoast (Windows 98 with the IE shell being optionalized) out there for everyone to try. See you whenever that happens.

Note: There has since been another release of Windows 95D Lite, but any future updates to this distribution will only be tiny incremental updates.
